If you think you may have ADHD, we will send you two screening questionnaires to complete. They will be scored and then you will be notified if the results mean you would benefit from an ADHD assessment.

You must be in the UK to have an assessment, even for a remote appointment. Prescriptions can only be issued to UK residents.
Ideally old school reports. Medical records or at least a GP referral letter. Completed questionnaires (these are sent to you with appointment confirmation).
A standard appointment will last approximately 2 hours
Not everyone needs a QbTest. there are a small percentage of people where it is a necessity to complete one. If this applies to you, we’ll provide reasons for its requirement.
You are welcome to request one should you want to have one.
QbTest is an FDA-cleared, CE-marked, and widely used objective ADHD test that measures core ADHD symptoms: activity, attention, and impulsivity. The standardised test is backed by years of research and is to be used alongside other clinical measures and cognitive tests. It can assist with diagnosis and measure a patient’s response to treatment with subsequent re-tests.
The test involves a 15 or 20-minute computer-based test, measuring the three core symptoms of ADHD; activity, attention, and impulsivity. Data from the test is compared to a normative control group of the same sex and age who do not have ADHD.
The results from the test are instantly generated, presented in a report, and compared with data from other people of the same sex and age who do not have ADHD.
The link is usually sent just before the time of the appointment on the day of the assessment. This helps to ensure the links don’t get lost and are to hand when needed.
Yes. Usually 2 weeks after your final appointment, you will receive a detailed report which will provide a diagnosis, comprehensive management plan and treatment options.
Yes, it should be accepted by the NHS, especially as our assessments are so thorough, and our consultants have undertaken multiple ADHD assessments when employed by the NHS.
On average four follow-up appointments will take place before medication titration is complete, however, it can take longer depending on complexity or medication response. We support Shared Care Arrangements (SCA) with the GP and like to transfer prescribing to the GP.
You will need an annual review appointment with your psychiatrist even if your GP is prescribing your medication.
A Shared Care Agreement (SCA) is an agreement that outlines the responsibilities for managing the prescribing of a drug shared between a Consultant and GP. Patients receiving medication must attend regular follow up appointments with the Consultant Psychiatrist and an annual review appointment once care is transferred to the GP.

A Psychiatrist is a medically trained doctor who has specialised and qualified in psychiatry. Psychiatrists are able to prescribe medication and can assess both the mental and physical effects of a disorder.
Psychiatry itself is the study of mental health problems and their diagnosis, management and prevention.
A psychologist specialises in the study of behaviours and mental processes. This includes emotional and cognitive processes, how people interact with their environments, and how they interact with other people.
A psychologist diagnoses and treats mental disorders, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems. They may provide treatment for chronic problems or acute problems, and they can do so in an individual, family, or group setting. The most common type of treatment used by psychologists is psychotherapy, or talk therapy.
Psychologists hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or another specialty such as counselling or education. They are trained to evaluate a person’s mental health using clinical interviews, psychological evaluations and testing. They can make diagnoses and can also complete a cognitive assessment during your appointment. Sometimes cognition is contributory to ADHD. They cannot, however, prescribe medication. This would be done by a Psychiatrist
