Dr. Ramya Mohan
Biography
Dr. Ramya Mohan is a senior Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over two decades of clinical experience in the London, Surrey and Sussex areas. She has extensive experience as a CAMHS Consultant in the NHS and private sector across continents.
Dr. Mohan completed her core psychiatry training with the South London and Maudsley Training Scheme(Guys’, King’s and St Thomas Hospitals). She completed her sub-specialisation in child and adolescent psychiatry with the Great Ormond Street and Royal London Hospitals training scheme with global thought leaders in CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry (ADHD and ASD). As an NHS CAMHS Consultant (since 2007), she has held NHS senior leadership roles in Paediatric Liaison and Neurodevelopmental services (ADHD and ASD) and contributed to national Telemedicine guidelines for the UK.
As a highly skilled senior clinician, she has expertise in detailed full diagnostic assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD, ASD and complex co-morbidities like anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, trauma and adverse childhood experiences in childhood and adolescence. She has been a clinical and educational supervisor for the KSS deanery and has extensive experience as a Medical Educator (teaching undergraduates, postgraduates, doctors and healthcare professionals over the years across Europe and India). She has many publications in peer reviewed scientific journals, both as a researcher and invited author. She is a specialty champion for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Health Education England and the founding executive committee member of the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health International hub-India.
Dr Mohan is the Medical Director and Creative Head of I MANAS London, a trail-blazing organisation with an established body of globally acclaimed work in integrating Medicine, Music, Art, Neuroscience and Ability across societies through high-impact events, global projects and large-scale media awareness work in the UK and India. She is considered a global pioneer in integrating Neuroscience with Creativity and has been a twice shortlisted nominee for the ‘Communicator of the Year’ national award , Royal College of Psychiatrists, having developed the pioneering CAPEforHealth mental health platform ( based on her novel therapeutic technique CAPE:Creative Arts For Processing Emotions®). Dubbed ‘The singing Psychiatrist’, she is a well-known media personality on a world stage. Described as an accomplished polymath by thought leaders, Dr.Mohan’s repertoire of invited talks, music, art and oratory on a prestigious world platform includes TEDx, The United Nations UNGSII SDG Champions conference, The High Commission of India UK (Cultural wing), The houses of Lords and Commons, Mental Wealth Festival, world media (BBC, Aaj Tak/India Today, Huffington Post etc.) and some of the world’s top Universities, schools, colleges and hospitals.

She is passionate about delivering high quality, evidence based, comprehensive care to her patients with excellent experience as a Liaison Psychiatrist.
