Dr. Eliza-Jane Corson
Biography
Dr Jayne Corson is a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Senior Forensic Psychologist with extensive experience in assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders in adults, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has a strong background in working with neurodivergent individuals, within the NHS, Prison Service and private practice, providing comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Dr Corson has developed a particular expertise in working with adults with ADHD, offering specialist assessments, psychological interventions, and tailored support strategies that address executive functioning difficulties, emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and co-occurring mental health conditions. She is skilled in helping individuals understand their neurodivergent profiles, improve self-regulation, organisation, and coping mechanisms, and navigate challenges in education, employment, and relationships.
Dr Corson has held a Clinical Lead role within the NHS, overseeing psychological provision in two London prisons, working with individuals presenting complex mental health, personality disorder, and neurodevelopmental needs. She has extensive experience in adult forensic mental health services, including low and medium secure hospitals, acute and rehabilitation settings, and learning disability wards.
Additionally, she has worked across HM Prison Services, from high-secure to open conditions, and has held an academic post as a university lecturer on BSc and MSc Forensic Psychology programmes. She has also contributed to forensic services within the Local Authority, Social Services, and probation sectors.
Dr Corson is passionate about advancing understanding and support for neurodivergent individuals, particularly adults with ADHD, and integrating strengths-based, evidence-informed approaches to enhance functioning, well-being, and self-efficacy.
