Dr. Fanny Black

Biography

Dr Black is a HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist who currently runs an established private practice. Dr Black has worked both in the NHS and in private practice, holding specialist roles across various settings including community mental health, psychiatric hospital, and secure settings including prison. Dr Black further held the post of honorary lecturer in the psychology department at the Institute of Psychiatry in London.

Dr Black has specialist training in the diagnosis and assessment of adults with ADHD, alongside associated and co-morbid psychopathology. Dr Black has provided assessments of ADHD both privately and within criminal and family Court proceedings. Within her private practice, Dr Black prepares around 100 reports per year for the Family and Criminal Courts providing expert assessments and opinions on matters of neurodiversity, mental health, offending and violence, personality disorder, sexual offending, domestic violence, fire-setting and substance misuse.
